The Rotarian in our Community: Greg McCosker is being remembered as a passionate and very active Rotarian by the Rotary Club of Walnut Grove. Greg served our community well in many positions, including as a Past President and Board Member. Participating in many of the community Rotary Projects and Fundraisers, he was also in charge of the garden for our kids at the elementary school for a few years. Always willing to help out, Greg was the prime example of Service Above Self. Duly noted as the Greatest Guy, exemplary Rotarian and solid contributor to our club, Rotarians are saddened and heartbroken Greg has passed.
The Working Man: Greg was a long-time employee of Lyman's, then Grow West, bringing along his business education, dedication, and smile. Hired in 1996 just after graduating from College, Greg was on his way to CEO because of his excellent performance and education. Greg generously volunteered his time to many industry groups in the Fertilizer and Ag chemical industry. He was a guy who would almost never say no to an opportunity to serve and will be missed after more than 2 decades of work and his 5 year battle against cancer.
The Fisherman: Greg was an avid bass fisherman and won many dollars and custom boats in professional fishing tournaments as a professional sponsored fisherman. He volunteered his time in many fishing organizations and environmental groups that preserve fish. Greg's fishing family is missing this incredible man too.
