Build a Legacy Donation, Scholarship Investment - Because Giving is Supporting. Supporting is Change! The members of the Rotary Club of Walnut Grove invite you to create something lasting. A scholarship that opens doors for local students and strengthens our entire community.
How This Scholarship Program Works: Establish a named SCHOLARSHIP administered by the Walnut Grove Foundation Board for an initial 5-year term. Beginning in year six, the scholarship continues in perpetuity through annual funding, ensuring your impact lives on for generations.
Your scholarship may:
- Be created in your name or in honor of a loved one or family legacy
- Support graduating seniors from Delta High School or other qualifying schools or trade programs
- Be merit-based (academic, athletic, artistic)
- Be need-based (financial hardship)
- Support athletes, artists, or a specific major, career path, first-generation student, military family, or other meaningful focus Guidelines may be customized to reflect your values and priorities. Updates may be requested annually for approval by December 31.
Our program is a classified entity and all contributions must be made payable to Walnut Grove Foundation. It is 100% tax-deductible as allowed by your tax advisor.

Payment may be made through the Scholarship Dinner system or by check which is due within 10 days. To establish an alternative payment method, please connect with Barb.

Walnut Grove Rotary Scholarships are Directly Funded by Our Annual Auction to Delta High School Seniors for College Scholarships:
For many years in late Spring, Walnut Grove Rotary’s Scholarship Committee has gathered at Delta High School to interview senior students for college scholarships. Prior to the interviews seniors must submit an application and write an essay describing his/her scholastic achievement, financial need, character, personal desire to better themselves, and any other information they feel makes them a worthy candidate to receive a WG Rotary scholarship. Over the years Walnut Grove Rotary has awarded a great many scholarships to public or private colleges/universities and community colleges, totaling many thousands of dollars to many students who might not otherwise have the means.
